An Amish Easter Wish
In An Amish Easter Wish, a small town in Vermont is recovering from a disastrous flood. An Amish group is helping non-Amish volunteers rebuild the town. One of the Amish volunteers, Abby Kauffman, is helping out in the community center cooking meals for the volunteers and working with the teenage volunteers. Helping out with the teenage volunteers is also David Riehl. David is a handy man who recently adopted his late best friend’s daughter, Mikayla St. Pierre. He struggles to connect with her. He also struggles with working with the Amish. His parents used to be Amish; David was raised Amish as a little boy until something happened in the coummunity and his parents left the Amish life. David is under the impression that the Amish were judgemental in kicking his parents out. But as David gets to know Abby, he begins to think that maybe he has misjudged the Amish, but then why was his parents kicked out? And what is he going to do about his growing attraction to Abby?
Overall, this was a good novel. At times, I was annoyed with David because he sometimes judged the Amish too harshly. And he should not make generalizations about them. Also, I did feel like the last few chapters of the novel were rushed too quickly. It was an interesting and engaging romance, nevertheless.

Anna’s Forgotten Fiance
In Anna’s Forgotten Fiance, Anna Weaver has an accident— a head injury and as a result, she does not remember that Fletcher Chupp is her fiance. Before she and Fletecher had become romantically involved, Anna had been courting Fletcher’s cousin, Aaron. The problem is that Anna remembers her courship with Aaron vividely. It creates a lot of tension between Fletcher, Anna, and Aaron. In the end, Fletcher and Anna court again. Will they still be able to get married? Fletcher is worried that Anna will realize that she actually loves Aaron. Is his concern warranted?
At times, this novel became a little too soapy for my taste. The drama between the three characters was a little too much to bear alone. Overall, though, the fact that Fletcher and Anna go through courting a second time allows them to fall in love a second time. The romance between them is sweet and heartwarming. There are, of course, some bumps along the way, but readers will eventually be satisfied with the romance.
