State: Georgia
Divorced and raising twin boys on her own, Lindsey Judd is determined to purse her dream of being a chef at her aunt’s inn. Her aunt’s inn (set in Kudzu Creek, Georgia) has been struggling and there is high hopes that Lindsey will be able to help it get back on track. In the middle of becoming used to her new home, job, and the community around her, Lindsey finds out that an attorney (and fellow boarder at the inn) is interested in buying the property. His name is Donovan Ainsworth and he wants to turn the inn into a half-way house for troubled boys. He wants to name it after his friend, Ryan, who was a troubled young man. Donovan, though, is conflicted. He starts to have feelings for Lindsey. If he buys the property, she will have to find another job, but he really wants to create a charity for the struggling boys in the community and the inn is the ideal property in town to do that. How does he know what is the right decision? Is there a future for him and Lindsey or should he just focus on the charity and put affairs of the heart aside?
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. The town had a unique atmosphere to it. The main and supporting characters were lovely and unique. Lindsey’s twins were quit entertaining, especially since they were so rambunctious that they got themselves into a lot of trouble. The romance between Lindsey and Donovan was very sweet. I highly recommend this book.
